Rosenthal's History: 1879 - 1900

1900	First time appearance of the company at an important world exhibition.

1897	The company becomes a joint-stock corporation -Rosenthal & Co. AG.

1891	The company starts to manufacture its own porcelain. The shape »Empire« is one of the first complete service-sets.

1886	The cigar ashtray »Ruheplätzchen für brennende Cigarren« is the first mega-seller.

1879	Philipp Rosenthal establishes his own porcelain painting at castle Schloss Erkersreuth.
