The young artist from the Royal College in London had already been awarded the Spezial Prize of the Rosenthal Design Awards in the category "Re-Design" in 2004. Solid, individual and hand-made products are created out of percelain, plastic or glass. Pieke Bergmans organised international exhibitions in England, the Netherland, Spain, Germany, Japan and Thailand.

Pieke Bergmans first collaborated with Rosenthal in 2006 and developed for Rosenthal studio-line the series of vases "Taped".
