„Transformation - new products for new living forms“On October 2nd. 2003 the Rosenthal AG welcomed about 120 guests for a two-days conference, amongst them representatives from design universities and institutions as well as from the industry and numerous active Rosenthal designers. Chairman Ottmar C. Küsel described in his introductory speech the design strategy of the company: On the background of Rosenthal's rich design history innovative, up-to-date design is still the by far most important proposition in means of differenciation. The theoretic introduction was followed by an eventful sight-seeing tour, to bring life to the campany's corporate philosophy and to bring light to the pocess of design evaluation and production. Netherland born trend guru Li Edelkoort brought another highlight to the conference with her exciting slide show „plus/minus“: People's lifestyle can no longer be defined by their age, more by their attitude and values. Society more and more orients on extremes, the average gets irrelevant. An active discussion with the participants well-rounded the first Rosenthal Design Convention in Selb. |
