Additions to the successful collection
Unlimited colours: Thomas has brought colour to the table and a good mood to sometimes dreary working days for many years now with the successful “Sunny Day” range. In 2010 Thomas is focussing on making some new additions to the Sunny Day collection. An overriding colour concept in the trend colours of denim, apple green, water blue, beige and lavender gives the new products a clear and well-rounded appearance. The distinct colours and light pastel tones can be combined with each other at whim. As such numerous moods and decoration ideas can be adapted to the collection and the scene set perfectly depending on the choice of colour. Grey is a true “all-rounder” when it comes to combinability. Vibrant colours such as new red, yellow or turquoise seem even brighter when combined with grey elements. And to create a classical atmosphere – it can be combined with beige, white, pastel or lavender as desired.
Sunny Day: Short
Set „Patchwork“
As handiwork enjoys a revival, fanciful nostalgic patterns combined with trendy colours are in fashion and definitely all the rage. The combination of tradition and contemporary graphics frees the “patchwork” from its dusty image. A lively mix of different patterns covers the new Sunny Day Short Set. “Patchwork” lives up to its name because it can be combined wonderfully with many Sunny Day colours as well as different materials (coloured glass, trays).
Sunny Day: Coloured glass
The successful Sunny Day range has now also been complemented by a coloured glass collection. The focus here has been set upon the colours water blue, apple green, lavender and denim – all of which set intensive colour accents. A clear glass series can also be combined beautifully with all the other colours. The coloured glass collection includes a bowl for salad or fruit, a small bowl for cereal, yoghurt or desserts. The series is complemented further by a mug and a matching carafe; a small bowl can be used as either a carafe lid or a dip bowl. The glass is handcrafted. Small irregularities such as small bubbles, minimal variations in thickness and slight differences in weight are the expression of true craftsmanship.
Cup°

“Some like it hot” – is not just the name of the classic 1960’s film starring Marilyn Monroe, but also the underlying idea behind the new Thomas mug collection “Cup”. The ribbed surface of the cup enlarges the distance between the actual drink and the hand. So it is easier to hold hot drinks like hot chocolate, coffee, milk or latte macchiato without the risk of burnt fingers. Cold drinks such as iced coffee or buttermilk are not warmed by the hands and thus stay cold for longer. The incredibly useful mugs are available in the successful Sunny Day colours of beige, apple green, lavender, new reed, orange, yellow, denim, water blue and white.
Sunny Day: Trays
The Sunny Day Collection has been complemented this year by trays in the matching trend colours of beige, water blue, apple green, denim and lavender. They are made of wood and coated with easy to clean plastic. The underside of the trays is white.
Sunny Day – Kids
There is now also a Sunny Day set for younger family members that matches the parents’ service. Inspired by the German children’s song “Who stole the coconut” the “Banana Gang” romps across the children’s crockery. The crocodile and monkeys try to snatch the bananas with all kinds of tricks. The imaginative illustrations encourage children to make up new stories about the cheeky monkey gang and the reptile. The set includes a handled mug, a breakfast plate and a cereal bowl.
Cutlery “Skid”
The curving lines of “Skid” unite timeless design with a high utility value. The noteworthy feature is the subtle nuance of the handle ends’ composition which gives the cutlery a particularly ergonomic feel. Be it for a formal dinner or an outdoor picnic – “Skid” is ideal for all occasions with its uncomplicated form.
“Skid” is made from highly polished stainless steel and is therefore dishwasher-proof.
