SANSSOUCI is the oldest Rosenthal design still in use. It was first launched in 1894. The history of the origin of this design is closely associated with Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam and with Frederic the Great. It is the perfect example of quality "Made by Rosenthal": fine, translucent porcelain, lavishly made designs/reliefs and a wealth of decorative designs, some hand-painted.
The opulent, new "Chatelaine" decorative design on the Rococo design SANSSOUCI brings the glamour and cheerfulness of the Rococo era to the laid table. This tendency towards enjoying life in magnificent style was picked up on in the cinema film "Marie-Antoinette".
Pleasure without regret. Be it accessories for the home or confectionary products, be it music or film - the revival of this pleasure-loving era competes with the cool taste currently en vogue.
