Hajek, Johan van Loon, Marcello Morandini, Rosemonde Nairac, Eduardo Paolozzi, Otto Piene, David Queens- berry, Lino Sabattini, Timo Sarpaneva, Nanny Still McKinney, Philip Rosenthal, Victor Vasarely, Bjørn Wiinblad, Sami Wirkkala, Tapio Wirkkala, Paul Wunderlich, Yang Completion: Gradually completed until 1987, completely restored in 2001 In 1911, Professor Fritz Klee founded the association "Casino e.V" and built the Casino as a gastronomical business based on his own designs. Professor Fritz Klee was the founder and first leader of the "Porzellanfachschule" located in Selb. Rosenthal AG purchased the estate in 1983, rebuilt it as a guesthouse in 1956 and expanded it at the end of the 80s. Today the Casino is let out on lease. The "Casino Restaurant" was re-designed by Tappio Wirkkala. The most striking characteristic of this age is a porcelain relief hanging in the stairway of the restaurant. This impressive mural is a composition of items from the collection Shape »2000«. Philip Rosenthal himself designed a simple but ingenious wall made out of beer bottles for the restaurant. The artists Otmar Alt, Michael Boehm, Barbara Brenner, Elsa Fischer-Treyden, Dorothy Hafner, O.H. Hajek, Johan van Loon, Marcello Morandini, Rosemonde Nairac, Eduardo Paolozzi, Otto Piene, David Queensberry, Lino Sabattini, Timo Sarpaneva, Nanny Still McKinney, Victor Vasarely, Bjørn Wiinblad, Sami Wirkkala, Paul Wunderlich and Yang each designed one of the 20 guest rooms in their very own signature style.
