125 Years Rosenthal

125 years ago, on August 30th. 1879, Philipp Rosenthal sets up as a porcelain trader and established a porcelain painting department at Castle Schloss Erkersreuth close to the city of Selb (the official foundation of the „Porzellanmalerei Philipp Rosenthal & Co.OHG“ has been registered later retroactive with the date of December 18th. 1880). This anniversary will be celebrated in 2004, with our trade partners, our customers, our suppliers and our employees.
Over all these decades, Rosenthal has always remained alive and fascinating, united and motivated by the desire to create the best in design in every era: "Das Originale unserer Zeit".
