Hans Günther Reinstein was one of the great German designers at the beginning of the 20th century. His designs are influenced by Peter Behrens' s geometrical "Art Nouveau". In 1902 Reinstein, his wife Elsbeth Kleinsteuber, Alfred Koch and C.F.Meier founded the group "Vereinigte Kunstgewerbler Darmstadt" in 1902 (closed 1910). Reinstein had been working for Rosenthal since 1903. He created the forms for the table-set »Boticelli« and, in collaboration with Philipp Rosenthal, »Donatello«. Both were produced up to the mid 90s.
